Photo of the Day: A Peruvian Boy And His Puppy

| Taken by Aracely | 13 Comments » | Photo of the Day

This photos was taken near Cruz del Condor overlooking Colca Canyon near Arequipa, Peru. This little boy was very excited about his new puppy. He was struggling to keep a tight hold on the puppy but with a big smile on his face. With his parents permission I snapped this shot of him.

This brings to mind the photo by Werner Bischof – one of my absolute favorite photographers – and your photo does his memory justice.

If you are not familiar with his work – just google for his name and you will see.

@everyone I am so glad you enjoyed this photo. Aracely had a great feeling after she took it, knowing it was something special. @David I looked up Werner Bischof. Interesting people photos that capture so much energy. And thank you for the comparison. Maybe someday we can better understand how to capture such emotion.
