Heron on Arrecifes Beach at Tayrona Park, Colombia

This is one of my favorites shots, even though I admit that it was 100% a lucky shot. I spotted the Heron standing still on Arrecifes Beach in Tayrona Park in northern Colombia, an hour outside Santa Marta. I got my camera ready to take a picture. It started to fly and I just followed it with my lens and snapped. I didn’t even think about what setting I was on.

  1. Nardi says:

    Awesome shot

  2. Great shot! I leave my camera on P when I’m not using it. I would never take a shot on P unless it was a spur of the moment thing. It’s better to get the shot on the wrong setting than miss it all together. In this shot, it ALL worked out didn’t it?!

  3. Great catch! I love those lucky shots.
